I’d like to thank everyone that wrote, and emailed, this last week their thanks for the Genealogy Q&A sessions on Facebook Live.
I really appreciated that you all took the time to write, and to acknowledge what we’ve done this year.
The Q&A started out in March, because we all suddenly had more time on our hands. Over the last ten months, they changed into something more substantial, a conversation that’s taken some interesting turns.
A lot of work takes place behind the scenes to make it happen: – hats off to Caitlin Bain, Catherine Holmes, and Fiona O’Mahony in the Irish Family History Centre.
A special thank you is due Stephen Pearce who in August, continued the sessions, while I took a family holiday; and to Helen Moss who in September, joined me online for a Culture Night special.
Thanks also to Brian, my husband and my sons R, W & F – regular viewers have sometimes seen them, as they bring me tea or a drink, or decide to zoom-bomb for a lark.
Most of all thanks to everyone that sent in questions or who took part during 2020. You’ve brought an interest and enthusiasm that’s helped to keep me focused during a difficult year – and for that I’m so grateful to all of you.
Thanks to your sustained interested, the Irish Family History Centre has agreed to continue the sessions in 2021.
We’ll be back at 5pm, on Friday 8th January 2021.
So for now, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all of you.
Best Wishes,
Fiona Fitzsimons
